Choose the right adventure...
 There
are a variety of preplanned trips that can be taken on the
Big Fork River. Any one choice will offer spectacular scenery
and abundant wildlife. Because you are an individual with
particular interests and challenge levels, we would like to
help you find the right trip for you. Remember, we are also
happy to help you customize any of these trips, or even help
you design your own. The choices are unlimited! For example,
you can change the length of the trip, area, number of people
or boats, camping supplies, and degree of difficulty.
 Most
of the sites along the river are DNR maintained. They have
picnic tables, outhouses, and camping areas. There is no charge
to camp at these sites. Free firewood is provided at many
of the DNR maintained campsites.
The campground in Big Falls is maintained by the City of
Big Falls and costs $12 per night. It is located on the most
spectacular falls of the river (Class IV-V). The City Campground
has hot showers, water and electric hookups, and free firewood.
The view from this campground is worth experiencing even if
you don't choose to camp there!
Supplies can be restocked while in Big Falls. Our headquarters
are only a block away from the city campground, in Gorden's
Hardware Hank. LB Foods is located right next door for your
grocery needs.

This relaxing, scenic day trip starts at
Johnson's Landing and ends at Big Falls. This stretch
of river is about 14.5 miles long and takes 6.5-10 hours.

Designed with fishermen in mind, this trip
starts in Big Falls and floats to Ben Lynn Landing. Along
the way, enjoy fishing for Walleye, Muskie, Northern Pike, or Small Mouth Bass. This stretch of river is
about 10 miles long (5-8 hours).
The fee includes one canoe or two kayaks, drop-off, and pickup for 2 persons.

Day 1: Float or paddle 14.5 miles from Johnson's
Landing to Big Falls (6.5-10 hours). Camp at Big Falls
City Campground.
Day 2: From Henry C. Cody Landing (below the falls
at Big Falls), paddle 10 miles to Ben Lynn Landing (5-8
hours). If you like, stay the night at Ben Lynn Landing
or be picked-up.
The fee includes canoes or kayaks, portage at Big
Falls, one night's stay at the campground, drop-off, and
pickup for four persons.

For those seeking wildlife
in its natural habitat.
Day 1: From First Bridge Landing enjoy a leisurely
paddle 8.5 miles to Johnson's Landing (4-8 hours). Camp
the night at Johnson's. A fresh water spring is available
for drinking water.
Day 2: Spend your day amid beautiful scenery
from Johnson's to Big Falls (14.5 miles, 6.5-10 hours).
Watch for bald eagles! Spend the night at the Big Falls
City Campground.
Day 3: Start below the rapids at Henry C. Cody
Landing and travel 10 miles to Ben Lynn Landing (5-10
hours). If you like, stay a third night at Ben Lynn.
The fee includes one canoe or two kayaks, portage around
the Big Falls rapids, one night's stay at Big Falls
City Campground, drop-off, and pickup for 2 persons.
